Barnaby Goatwaffle is known to the students as “The Genius Scientist with a Mop,” an inventor first and a janitor second.
His parents were career bank robbers, and Barnaby always disliked their dishonest activities.
Plus, whenever they got sent to jail, he was stuck with the chore he truly hated: making his own dinner.
He soon discovered that inventing a contraption to bust his parents out of jail was far easier and more fun than cooking, and so his brilliant mind for inventing was born.
Barnaby’s parents, having one too many run-ins with the law, were finally persuaded by their son to trade a life of crime for a quieter one as carrot farmers.
Their new life was peaceful until one day Barnaby blew up the house.
Seeking a safer career, Barnaby took a job as a janitor at Left Nostril Elementary.
Yet, he couldn’t abandon his true passion for inventing. Encouraged by Principal Nyibbi-Nyibbi, who always championed creativity, Barnaby built an inventions shed on the school grounds.
There, he continues to tinker, often creating the very devices that lead to the school’s most magnificent disasters.
